Human-Centered organizations represent the next stage in organizational development based upon developments in human consciousness. Human-centered means the values and image of man at the core or center of the collective-self of a group, organization or institution is an Image of Man as Man.
The Image of Man as Man is whole, encompassing, and diverse. It is the fount of human creativity and resilience. The alternative images of man are Man as Animal, Man as Machine, Man as a random purposeless, accidental entity. In the primary respect, an Image of Man as Man is ultimately diverse, an inclusive image, forming the foundation for consciousness of men and women. It spans gender, ethnic, religious, family, or world-views.
Man co-creates his physical and social future in concert with the thoughts, feelings and deeds of other human beings resting upon the deeper foundations of human action. Human creativity is the primary inexhaustible generative force in the world. It embodies the deeper impulses of development and history to express outwardly their aims and man’s succeeds in overcoming error. The manifestations of these forces are sometimes called social fields by social scientists.
